Warming our drums after our wilderness camp

For women, the initiations of menarche (first bleed), birth and menopause hold great importance as they are the gateways into deeper levels of emotional and physical growth and wisdom. Too often in our culture, these initiatory times are fraught with difficulty, leaving women to carry trauma and disease with them on their journey. When these important points in our lives are ignored or traumatic, then our health often suffers.

The ceremonial techniques that I have learned over the years help to release this stuck energy so that we can step forward from our pain and into healing; from merely surviving, to thriving.
